July 26 (Bloomberg) -- Former England soccer coach Fabio Capello signed a two-year contract to manage the Russian national team today, according to a statement on the Russian Football Union website.
Dick Advocaat left the post after the Euro 2012 tournament, in which his team failed to reach the quarterfinals.
Capello, 66, quit as England manager in February. The Italian was a club coach at AC Milan, Real Madrid, Roma and Juventus.
