July 17 (Bloomberg) -- The benchmark BUX index climbed for a third day, adding 0.3 percent to 17,275.91 by the close in Budapest.
The following were among the most active shares in the Hungarian market today. Stock symbols follow company names.
OTP Bank Nyrt. (OTP HB) Hungary’s largest lender, fell the most in three weeks after Prime Minister Viktor Orban said Hungarian ownership in the financial industry should be at least 50 percent. The shares slid 2.3 percent to 3,452 forint.
CIG Pannonia Eletbiztosito Nyrt. (PANNONIA HB), a Hungarian life insurer, fell 0.7 percent to 291 forint. CIG said it started preparing to raise capital via the issuance of interest-bearing shares.
