Colombia Stocks: Grupo Aval, Petrominerales, Pacific Rubiales

July 17 (Bloomberg) -- The following companies had unusual price changes in Bogota trading. Stock symbols are in parentheses, and prices are as of the close of trading.

The IGBC Index rose 0.6 percent to 13,653.13, while the Colcap Index increased 0.3 percent to 1,660.46.

Financial industry companies advanced as Colombia’s outstanding credit expanded 18.3 percent in May from a year earlier, according to government data.

Grupo Aval Acciones y Valores SA (PFAVAL CB), Colombia’s biggest banking group by assets, rose 2.2 percent to 1,180 pesos. Bancolombia SA (PFBCOLO CB), Colombia’s largest bank by market capitalization, gained 0.9 percent to 27,760 pesos.

Oil producers gained as crude rose to a seven-week high in New York.

Pacific Rubiales Energy Corp. (PREC CB), which operates the country’s largest oil field, gained 0.8 percent to 40,620 pesos. Canacol Energy Ltd. (CNEC CB), the Calgary-based oil company that operates fields in Colombia, rose 0.6 percent to 795 pesos. Petrominerales Ltd. (PMGC CB), a Calgary-based oil company that operates in the Andean region, rose 0.7 percent to 17,420 pesos.
