July 17 (Bloomberg) -- The following companies had unusual price changes in Argentine trading. Stock symbols are in parentheses and share prices are as of the close of trading. The Merval index rose 0.8 percent to 2,403.60.
Pampa Energia SA (PAMP AF) rose 0.9 percent to 1.15 pesos after falling as much as 0.9 percent earlier in the day. The company announced yesterday that Central Termica Loma de la Lata SA, an Argentine electricity generator owned by Pampa Energia, will buy back as much as $25 million of outstanding 2015 notes.
YPF SA (YPFD AF), Argentina’s state-run oil company, was unchaged at 85 pesos after earlier losing 2 percent. The company held today its first shareholder meeting since the government took control of the company in April.
