July 13 (Bloomberg) -- Shares of the following companies had unusual moves in Taiwan trading. Stock symbols are in parentheses and prices are as of the close in Taipei.
The Taiex Index dropped 0.4 percent to 7,104.27, capping a 3.6 percent loss this week, the first drop in five weeks.
Foxconn Technology Co. (2354 TT) declined 3.5 percent to NT$109.50, the biggest loss since June 25. Foxconn Technology Group Chairman Terry Gou completed his purchase of a stake in Sharp Display Products Corp., paving the way for the two groups to cooperate on production of panels used in televisions and phones.
Tripod Technology Corp. (3044 TT), a manufacturer of printed circuit boards, slid 2.1 percent to NT$75.90, the lowest close since Jan. 11. The stock had its recommendation lowered to neutral from outperform at Credit Suisse Group AG.
