The Lima General Index rose for the first time in eight days, gaining 0.8 percent to 20,107.13. The MSCI All Peru Capped Index climbed 1.3 percent to 2,703.18.
Candente Copper Corp. (DNT PE), a Canadian copper exploration company, jumped 5.7 percent to 56 cents after copper and U.S. stocks advanced, said Estefany Castillo, an analyst at Scotiabank Peru.
Panoro Minerals Ltd. (PML PE), a Canadian copper and gold exploration company, rose 3.2 percent to 65 cents.
Sulliden Gold Corp Ltd. (SUE PE), a gold exploration company, gained 2 percent to $1.04 after gold rose in New York.
Maple Energy Plc (MPLE PE), the oil and natural gas producer with operations in Peru, advanced 2 percent to $1.02 as crude rose for a third day in New York.
Ferreyros SA (FERREYC1 PE), the Lima-based distributor for Caterpillar Inc., gained 1.4 percent to 2.24 soles after Inteligo SAB analyst Alessandra Bazan reiterated a buy rating for the stock.
