July 12 (Bloomberg) -- Greece’s four largest banks are looking at acquiring the healthy portion of Agricultural Bank of Greece SA if the lender is split into a “good bank” and a “bad bank,” Kathimerini said, without citing anyone.
National Bank of Greece SA, EFG Eurobank Ergasias SA, Alpha Bank SA and Piraeus Bank SA are looking at Agricultural while Piraeus has shown the strongest interest, the Athens-based newspaper reported.
A decision on a plan for Agricultural Bank is expected by the end of this week, Kathimerini said.
