July 12 (Bloomberg) -- The following companies had unusual price changes in Argentine trading. Stock symbols are in parentheses and share prices are as of the close in Buenos Aires. The Merval index fell 0.5 percent to 2,350.96.
Siderar SAIC (ERAR AF) retreated 3 percent to 1.6 pesos, its lowest price in four weeks. Argentina’s largest steel producer fell in line with base metal prices amid signs that the global slowdown is worsening and after the Federal Reserve damped speculation for further stimulus.
Transportadora de Gas del Norte SA (TGNO4 AF) advanced 9.8 percent to 0.483 peso, its biggest increase in nine weeks. The Argentine natural gas transporter began an offer to exchange $345 million in bonds for new debt and cash.
YPF SA (YPFD AF) fell 1.4 percent to 82.40 pesos. Argentina’s largest oil company retreated after crude fell earlier today in New York.
