July 11 (Bloomberg) -- Construction and development costs of Bahrain’s planned mega industrial city are estimated at 6 billion dinars ($16 billion), Alayam reported, citing Hassan Fakhru, the kingdom’s industry and commerce minister.
The government has finished a feasibility study of the planned city, which will be constructed on 93 square kilometers of land, Fakhru told the newspaper. The city is expected to generate 5 billion dinars a year by 2040 and provide 240,000 jobs, Alayam cited Fakhru as saying.
