July 10 (Bloomberg) -- Shares of the following companies had unusual moves in Taiwan trading. Stock symbols are in parentheses and prices are as of the close in Taipei.
The Taiex Index fell 0.8 percent to 7,251.35, its fourth day of losses and the biggest drop since June 8.
TPK Holding Co. (3673 TT) slumped 6.9 percent to NT$330, the most since June 1. The touch panel company’s revenue dropped 3.9 percent to NT$11.08 billion ($369.86 million) in June from a year earlier, according to a statement on the company website.
United Microelectronics Corp. (2303 TT), the world’s second-largest custom maker of chips, climbed 0.8 percent to NT$12.40. June sales rose 1.1 percent from a year earlier to NT$9.29 billion, the first increase in more than a year.
