July 8 (Bloomberg) -- Germany’s Marcel Siem scored a final-round 67, 4-under par, to win golf’s French Open today for his first European Tour victory in eight years.
Siem scored birdies at the 14th and 15th holes and a bogey at the last to finish on 8-under-par 276 at Le Golf National near Paris. Francesco Molinari of Italy was a shot behind after going round in 64. Raphael Jacquelin of France came third on 6-under.
Siem picked up a prize of 525,000 euros ($645,000).
