July 5 (Bloomberg) -- The 30-stock Micex Index fell for the first time in five days, losing 0.6 percent to 1,435.76 by the close in Moscow.
The following were among the most active equities in the Russian market today. Stock symbols are in parenthesis.
Evraz Plc (EVR LN), the London-listed largest Russian steelmaker by output, slid 2.6 percent to 259.5 pence, a second day of losses, after UBS AG cut the stock to neutral from buy.
OAO Tatneft (TATN RX) advanced 2 percent to 197.68 rubles, the highest level since April 3. The Russian oil producer based in the Tatarstan region rallied after Moody’s Investors Service raised its credit rating to one step below investment grade.
VTB Group (VTBR RX) dropped 3.1 percent to 5.84 kopeks, the biggest retreat since June 28. Russia’s second-biggest lender tumbled after first-quarter profit dropped 13 percent.
