Russia’s ru-Net Invests in Turkish E-commerce Startup Lidyana

June 28 (Bloomberg) -- Russia’s ru-Net has invested 6 million liras ($3.3 million) in, a Turkish firm that sells jewelry and accessories over the internet, according to an e-mailed statement from Lidyana today.

The investment will be used to help the Istanbul-based company to expand operations into Russia and the Middle East, Chief Executive Officer Hakan Bas said in the statement.

Lidyana includes Turkish national soccer team player Arda Turan, flash sales site founders Sina Afra, Tolga Tatari and Ahmet Sari, and food delivery site founder Nevzat Aydin among its partners, according to the statement.
