June 28 (Bloomberg) -- Japanese investors were net buyers of foreign bonds during the week ended June 22 according to figures based on reports from designated major investors released by the Ministry of Finance in Tokyo.
Japanese investors bought 869.7 billion yen ($10.9 billion) in overseas bonds and notes, bought 18.2 billion yen in overseas stocks and bought 8.1 billion yen in overseas short term securities. That results in a total net purchase of 896 billion yen.
Foreign investors sold 313.9 billion yen in Japanese bonds, bought 50.4 billion yen in stocks, and bought 424 billion yen in short term securities, resulting in a total net purchase of 160.4 billion yen.
