June 24 (Bloomberg) -- Egypt’s benchmark EGX30 Index rose 2.8 percent, the most in two months, to 4,142.57 at 1:04 p.m. in Cairo. That trimmed the measures decline this quarter to 16 percent.

Alexandria Containers & Goods (ALCN EY) climbed 3.3 percent, the biggest intraday gain since May 6, to 66.5 Egyptian pounds. The company that handles containers at ports said profit for the 11 months that ended May 31 increased 14 percent to 261.9 million pounds ($43 million).
Orascom Telecom Media & Technology Holding SAE (OTMT EY) increased 5.4 percent to 1.37 pounds, headed for the highest close in a month. Shareholders of the Cairo-based company, controlled by billionaire Naguib Sawiris, will meet June 28 to vote on a dividend distribution of 1.05 pounds a share.
