June 14 (Bloomberg) -- Lawrence “Greg” Whalley is starting a new hedge fund called Copperwood with personnel from Centaurus Energy, a natural gas hedge fund shuttered in May, Reuters said today without saying where it got the information.
Whalley, former president and chief operating officer of Enron Corp., will take with him staff from Centaurus’s London, New York and Houston offices, including Conrad Goerl and Jeff Brattain, Centaurus’s chief financial officer, Reuters said. The fund will begin trading Aug. 1.
