The Lima General Index fell for a fourth session, losing 0.4 percent to 20,812.60. The MSCI All Peru Capped Index slid 0.3 percent to 2,712.83.
Maple Energy Plc (MPLE PE), the oil and natural gas producer with operations in Peru, fell 1.8 percent to $1.10 after crude slumped to an eight-month low in New York.
Casa Grande (CASAGRC1 PE), Peru’s largest sugar producer and a unit of Gloria SA, fell for a third day, losing 1.5 percent to 13.50 soles after sugar declined in New York.
Rio Alto Mining Ltd. (RIO PE), a Canadian gold miner, gained 1.9 percent to $4.25. The shares rallied after gold advanced for a fourth session in New York, according to Angel Alcala, a trader at Lima-based Juan Magot y Asociados SAB.
Southern Copper Corp. (SCCO PE), Peru’s biggest copper producer, increased 1.4 percent to $29.86 as copper rose earlier today in New York trading.
