June 14 (Bloomberg) -- Japanese investors were net sellers of foreign bonds during the week ended June 8 according to figures based on reports from designated major investors released by the Ministry of Finance in Tokyo.
Japanese investors sold 157.7 billion yen ($2.0 billion) in overseas bonds and notes, bought 45.4 billion yen in overseas stocks and sold 31.9 billion yen in overseas short term securities. That results in a total net sale of 144.2 billion yen.
Foreign investors bought 494.2 billion yen in Japanese bonds, sold 158 billion yen in stocks, and bought 340.8 billion yen in short term securities, resulting in a total net purchase of 676.9 billion yen.
