June 12 (Bloomberg) -- The following companies had unusual price changes in Mexico City trading. Stock symbols are in parentheses, and prices are as of the close of trading.
The IPC index rose 0.6 percent to 37,271.00.
America Movil SAB (AMXL MM), the wireless carrier controlled by billionaire Carlos Slim, rose 2.2 percent to 16.91 pesos. America Movil, owner of Claro, won the first auction of the license for 4G technology in Brazil and the license for wireless frequencies in the country’s rural areas, Brazil’s telecommunications regulator, known as Anatel, said.
Mexican banks’ outstanding loans rose 0.9 percent to 2.52 trillion pesos ($180 billion) in April from the previous month, the National Banking and Securities Commission said in an e-mailed statement yesterday.
Grupo Financiero Banorte SAB (GFNORTEO MM), the only traditional bank on the benchmark index, climbed 1.9 percent to 62.59 pesos. Banregio Grupo Financiero SAB (GFREGIO MM), a Mexican lender focused on loans to small- and medium-sized businesses, climbed 0.1 percent to 37.35 pesos.
