June 7 (Bloomberg) -- Shares of the following companies had unusual moves in Thailand trading. Stock symbols are in parentheses and prices are as of the close in Bangkok.
The SET Index rose 0.1 percent to 1,118.53, its second day of gains.
Nation Broadcasting Corp. Pcl (NBC TB), a broadcaster of satellite televisions, climbed 0.9 percent to 4.44 baht. The company will recover revenue loss from two television programs, President Adisak Limprungpatanakij, told an investor meeting today. The company has moved two television programs to its own satellite television channels after a contract with state-controlled MCOT Pcl expired this month, he said.
PTT Exploration & Production Pcl (PTTEP TB), the nation’s only publicly traded oil explorer, advanced 1.3 percent to 159.5 baht, the highest close since May 22. PTTEP Canada International Finance Ltd., PTT Exploration’s unit, is marketing $500 million of 30-year bonds to yield about 6.5 percent, according to a person familiar with the matter. PTT Exploration is a guarantor for the bond.
Sri Trang Agro-Industry Pcl (STA TB), Thailand’s largest rubber producer, gained 1.4 percent to 14.4 baht. Rubber futures gained as much as 4.2 percent, the biggest climb since Jan. 17, to 251 yen a kilogram ($3,165 a metric ton) before settling at 243.4 yen on the Tokyo Commodity Exchange.
