June 7 (Bloomberg) -- Ukraine’s shipments of Russian gas to Europe fell 24 percent in the first five months of 2012 from a year earlier, according to the state pipeline operator.
Natural-gas volumes slid to 37.01 billion cubic meters from 48.89 billion, Kiev-based DP Ukrtransgaz said in a statement today on its website. Volumes sank 37.8 percent to 6.2 billion cubic meters in May from a year earlier, the operator said.
