June 7 (Bloomberg) -- The benchmark BUX index rose 0.3 percent to 16,990.10 by the close in Budapest, extending its advance in the past two days to 3.6 percent.

Est Media Nyrt. (ESTMEDIA HB), a Hungarian entertainment company, gained the most in three months after saying it plans to issue three-year convertible bonds for a unit that organizes music festivals. The shares jumped 15 percent to 46 forint.
Magyar Telekom Nyrt. (MTELEKOM HB), the Hungarian unit of Deutsche Telekom AG, rose 1.6 percent to 444 forint as European stocks rallied after China cut interest rates for the first time since 2008 to bolster growth in the world’s second-largest economy.
