Polish Stocks: Azoty Tarnow, Hydrobudowa, PBG, TVN Were Active

June 4 (Bloomberg) -- Poland’s WIG20 Index added 0.3 percent to 2,077.76 at the close of trading in Warsaw.

The following were among the most active stocks on the Warsaw Stock Exchange today. Stock symbols follow company names.

Azoty Tarnow (ATT PW), the country’s biggest publicly traded chemicals producer, surged 3.6 percent to 39.35 zloty, rising to an all-time high after its management board said it’s “strongly” against an offer from OAO Acron, a Russian fertilizer company. Acron is ready to open talks with management and investors, it said today in a statement.

PBG SA (PBG PW), the country’s third-largest builder, fell 13 percent to 14.63 zloty, declining to a record low. The company and its Hydrobudowa Polska SA and Aprivia SA units said they would file for bankruptcy. Hydrobudowa (HBP PW) retreated 11 percent.

TVN SA (TVN PW), Poland’s second-biggest television network, rose 2.5 percent to 8.1 zloty, increasing by the most in two weeks. The company agreed to sell its Internet unit Onet.pl to Ringier Axel Springer Media AG.
