June 4 (Bloomberg) -- The benchmark BUX index rose 0.7 percent to 16,494.83 by the close in Budapest.
The following were among the most active shares in the Hungarian market today. Stock symbols follow company names.
Mol Nyrt. (MOL HB), Hungary’s largest refiner, rose 2.9 percent to 15,900 forint. Mol said it supports the nomination of Croatia’s economy minister and finance minister as new supervisory board members at Mol’s INA Industrija Nafte d.d. unit.
E-Star Alternativ Nyrt. (ESTAR HB), a Hungarian energy company, plunged the most in 3 1/2 years, after two of its board members left and the company said it is canceling a project. The shares fell 15 percent to 1,424 forint, the biggest daily drop since Oct. 20, 2008.
