June 3 (Bloomberg) -- German semi-conductor maker Infineon Technologies AG expects only a “slight” drop in sales this year compared with 2011, Welt-am-Sonntag reported, citing an interview with Chief Executive Officer Peter Bauer.
Orders for the third quarter are running “very well,” particularly in power-management electronics for computers and for consumer goods, Bauer is cited as saying. Orders from southern Europe for electronic products for industry are “very weak” and orders in this segment from China and India “relatively flat,” he said.
