Tony Parker scored 34 points as the San Antonio Spurs beat the Oklahoma City Thunder 120-111 for their second straight victory in the National Basketball Association’s Western Conference finals.
The Spurs lead the best-of-seven series two-games-to-none after earning their 20th consecutive victory. The Thunder host Game 3 tomorrow.
The winner of the series will play the Miami Heat or Boston Celtics in the NBA Finals. The Eastern Conference finals resume today in Miami with the Heat leading 1-0.
Manu Ginobili came off the bench to score 20 points last night for the Spurs, who had a 55-44 halftime advantage at AT&T Center in San Antonio. The Spurs shot 55 percent from the field and hit 11 3-pointers in the game.
The Spurs had a 22-point lead, 80-58, with four minutes, 47 seconds left in the third quarter on Boris Diaw’s layup. The advantage dwindled to six points at 99-93 on Russell Westbrook’s free throws with 5:39 left in the fourth period. Oklahoma City could get no closer.
Kevin Durant had 31 points, James Harden added 30 and Westbrook scored 27 points for the Thunder.
