The Lima General Index rose 0.5 percent to 20,744.49. The MSCI All Peru Capped Index slid 0.2 percent to 2,656.48.
Panoro Minerals Ltd. (PML PE), a Canadian copper and gold exploration company, jumped 14 percent to 67 cents as copper advanced for a second day in New York and investors bet the company will take on partner to develop its properties, said Jose Luis Bustamante, head of trading at Cartisa SAB.
Rio Alto Mining Ltd. (RIO PE), a Canadian gold miner, rose 3.1 percent to $4.04 after gold gained in New York.
Cia. de Minas Buenaventura SAA (BVN PE), the country’s biggest precious-metals miner, climbed 2.1 percent to $38.95.
Maple Energy Plc (MPLE PE), the oil and natural gas producer with operations in Peru, advanced 1 percent to $1.04 after crude gained in New York.
