New York Knicks Give Head Coach Mike Woodson Multiyear Contract

May 25 (Bloomberg) -- The National Basketball Association’s New York Knicks have given head coach Mike Woodson a multiyear contract extension, the team announced today in an e-mailed release.

Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Woodson, who was promoted from assistant coach when Mike D’Antoni resigned on March 14, led the Knicks to an 18-6 regular-season record as interim head coach. New York lost in five games in the first round of the NBA playoffs.
