The Lima General Index rose for the first time in seven days, gaining 0.9 percent to 20,680.89. The MSCI All Peru Capped Index climbed 1 percent to 2,655.75.
Cia. Minera Atacocha SA (ATACOBC1 PE), the Lima-based silver and zinc mining company, rose 2.1 percent to 48 centimos after zinc futures advanced in London, said Jorge Ramirez, a trader at Lima-based brokerage Coril SAB.
Sociedad Minera El Brocal SAA (BROCALC1 PE), a zinc and copper producer, gained 2.1 percent to 49.60 soles after contract workers ended a 32-day strike.
Southern Copper Corp. (SCCO PE), Peru’s biggest copper producer, climbed 1.8 percent to $28.70 after copper rebounded in New York.
