May 21 (Bloomberg) -- Brazilian Finance Minister Guido Mantega will eliminate the so-called IOF tax on auto loans as part of a package of measures he will announce today to help the car industry, Guilherme Barros, a columnist at Sao Paulo-based IstoE Dinheiro said on the magazine’s website, without saying how he obtained the information.
Mantega is scheduled to speak to reporters at 6pm Brasilia time today.
