May 19 (Bloomberg) -- Dubai plans to spend about 1 billion dirhams ($272 million) over five years to improve roads in residential areas in the emirate, the Roads & Transport Authority said.
The authority awarded two contracts under the program valued at 38 million dirhams, it said in an e-mailed statement today. The plan runs through 2016, the authority said.
