May 17 (Bloomberg) -- Sales of cars in Gabon increased to 1,424 in the first quarter of 2012 compared with 1,420 a year earlier, the Union of Automotive Industry Representatives said in a statement published today in l’Union newspaper.
There were 618 cars sold in March compared with 381 in February and 425 in January, the organization said. Toyota Motor Corp. was the top seller with 498 vehicles sold in the period, followed by Mitsubishi Corp. with 258 units, it said.
