China Had 1,235 Infectious-Disease Deaths in April, Xinhua Says

A total of 1,235 people in China died of infectious diseases in April, mostly from an illness group that includes hepatitis, tuberculosis, syphilis, dysentery and gonorrhea, Xinhua said, citing the Ministry of Health.

There were 692,625 cases of infectious diseases reported last month, Xinhua reported.
