Google Infringed Oracle’s Java Tools Copyrights, Jury Says

Google Inc., the largest Web-search provider, infringed the structure of Oracle Corp.’s Java tools, a jury found in the first phase of a trial over an intellectual-property lawsuit.

The jury announced the verdict today in federal court in San Francisco. The three-part case is over Oracle’s Java programming language used to develop Google’s Android software running on more than 300 million mobile devices.
