German Greens Seek Fiscal Pact Approval Delay, Frankfurter Says

Germany’s opposition Greens want Chancellor Angela Merkel to delay parliament’s decision on the European Union’s fiscal pact, Frankfurter Allgemeine Sonntagszeitung said, citing party leader Juergen Trittin.

Merkel’s plan to approve the pact on budget consolidation on May 25 is unrealistic, the Frankfurt-based newspaper cited Trittin as saying in an interview.
