Capitals Defeat Rangers 3-2 to Tie NHL Playoff Series at 2-2

The Washington Capitals defeated the New York Rangers 3-2 to tie their National Hockey League playoff series at two games each.

Mike Green’s power-play goal in the third period gave the Capitals the home win at the Verizon Center. Alex Ovechkin and Nicklas Backstrom also scored for Washington, while Artem Anisimov and Marian Gaborik had the New York goals.

Game 5 of the best-of-seven second-round series will be played in two days at Madison Square Garden in New York.
