Exxon Says EPA Seeking Fines for West Virginia Water Pollution

Exxon Mobil Corp. said it expects the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency to seek fines in excees of $100,000 for alleged water pollution at three well sites in West Virginia.

The incidents involved Exxon’s XTO Energy unit, according to a public filing today. The agency issued three administrative orders to the company between June 23 and Feb. 29, according to the filing.
