April 29 (Bloomberg) -- Germany’s carmakers increased their advertising budget by 10.2 percent to 543.1 million euros ($719.9 million) in the first quarter, Automobilwoche reported, citing data from the market research company Nielsen.
Volkswagen AG led ad spending with a budget of 59.7 million euros, Automobilwoche said. Daimler AG and Opel spent 40.5 million euros and 38.7 million euros, respectively.
