Almarai, Advanced Petrochemicals, Ash-Sharqiyah: Saudi Preview

April 28 (Bloomberg) -- The following companies’ shares may be active in Saudi Arabia’s market. Stock symbols are in parentheses and prices are from the last close.

The Tadawul All Share Index gained 0.4 percent to 7,541.50 on April 25.

Advanced Petrochemicals Co. (APPC AB): The Saudi maker of polypropylene products is studying opening a joint-venture in Turkey with an unidentified Turkish partner. The stock advanced 0.8 percent to 26.6 riyals.

Almarai Co. (ALMARAI AB): Saudi Arabia’s largest food producer said production from an infant formula plant in al-Kharj, Saudi Arabia, will start during the first week of May. The shares were unchanged at 64.25 riyals.

Ash-Sharqiyah Development Co. (ASACO AB): The Saudi developer of agricultural projects in the Eastern Province said it dismissed General Manager Ahmed al-Sowayegh due to losses and poor financial results. The shares fell 1.7 percent to 57.25 riyals.
