Peru Stocks: Buenaventura, Ferreyros, Panoro, Rio Alto

April 27 (Bloomberg) -- The following companies had unusual price changes in Peru trading. Stock symbols are in parentheses, and share prices are as of market close in Lima.

The Lima General Index rose 0.5 percent to 22,908.98. The MSCI All Peru Capped Index climbed 1.3 percent to 2,979.24.

Panoro Minerals Ltd. (PML PE), a Canadian copper and gold exploration company, rose 5.9 percent to 72 cents after copper advanced in New York for a fourth day.

Ferreyros SA (FERREYC1 PE), the Lima-based distributor for Caterpillar Inc., climbed 2.1 percent to 3 soles. The shares rose as U.S. stocks gained, said Arlen Lahura, a trader at brokerage Coril SAB in Lima. Ferreyros is scheduled to report first-quarter earnings after the market’s close today.

Rio Alto Mining Ltd. (RIO PE), a Canadian gold miner, rose for a third session, adding 2.9 percent to $4.31 after gold advanced in New York.

Cia. de Minas Buenaventura SAA (BVN PE), the country’s biggest precious-metals miner, gained 1.8 percent to $42.25. The company is scheduled to report first-quarter earnings after the market’s close today.
