Ecuador’s Tax Collection Climbs 34% in First Quarter, SRI Says

Ecuador’s tax collection climbed to $2.66 billion in the first quarter, jumping 34 percent from the same period in 2011, the South American country’s Internal Revenue Service said.

The government expected revenue of $2.43 billion in the three months ending in March, the agency known as SRI said last night in a report on its website.
