April 26 (Bloomberg) -- The following companies had unusual price changes in Bogota trading. Stock symbols are in parentheses, and prices are as of the close of trading.
The IGBC Index rose 0.9 percent to 15,086.00, while the Colcap Index increased 0.6 percent to 1,759.62.
Acerias Paz del Rio SA (PAZRIO CB), a Colombian steelmaker, jumped 11 percent to 32.10 pesos, the highest since March 27. Acerias Paz del Rio will seek to sell about 9.05 billion shares, and Grupo Votorantim, the majority shareholder, plans to maintain or increase its stake in the company at the time of the sale, according to a prospectus filed late yesterday on the website of Colombia’s financial regulator.
Cementos Argos SA (CEMARGOS CB), the country’s biggest cement maker, gained 0.2 percent to 12,000 pesos. The company said first-quarter consolidated net income was 255.5 billion pesos ($145 million), compared with 29 billion in the prior year. Operational revenue increased 34 percent to 1.1 trillion pesos, according to an e-mailed statement.
Ecopetrol SA (ECOPETL CB), Colombia’s largest oil company, gained 1.7 percent to 5,510 pesos. The company rose in line with crude, which closed at a three-week high in New York.
