April 23 (Bloomberg) -- Sameer Africa Ltd., a Kenyan tire manufacturer, reached its highest close in more than five months after full-year profit jumped 69 percent.
The stock advanced 3.5 percent to 4.45 shillings by the 3 p.m. close in Nairobi, the capital. This is the strongest level since Nov. 10, according to data compiled by Bloomberg.
Profit from operations climbed to 96.9 million shillings ($1.2 million) in the 12 months through December, from 57.4 million shillings a year earlier, the Nairobi-company said in a statement e-mailed by the city’s stock exchange on April 20.
