April 18 (Bloomberg) -- Vimetco NV selected three companies for a shortlist of contractors to build a planned 250 megawatt gas-fired power plant in the southeastern Romanian city of Tulcea, the company said in a statement on its website today.
The Amsterdam-based aluminum maker picked a group made up of Itochu Corp. and Hyundai Engineering & Construction Co., Greece’s Metka SA and Siemens AG for further talks on the power plant construction contract after receiving bids from seven companies. The negotiations should be completed by the end of May, Vimetco said in the statement.
