April 19 (Bloomberg) -- Japanese investors were net buyers of foreign bonds during the week ended April 13 according to figures based on reports from designated major investors released by the Ministry of Finance in Tokyo.
Japanese investors bought 116.3 billion yen ($1.4 billion) in overseas bonds and notes, sold 10.3 billion yen in overseas stocks and bought 9.1 billion yen in overseas short term securities. That results in a total net purchase of 115 billion yen.
Foreign investors bought 739.9 billion yen in Japanese bonds, bought 202.8 billion yen in stocks, and sold 2251 billion yen in short term securities, resulting in a total net sale 1308.3 billion yen.
