Ethanol Output in U.S. Fell to 884,000 Barrels a Day, U.S. Says

April 18 (Bloomberg) -- Ethanol production in the U.S. fell 1.3 percent to 884,000 barrels a day last week, according to the Energy Department.

Stockpiles increased 0.9 percent to 21.9 million barrels, the first gain since March 16, the department said in a report released today in Washington.

Production of conventional gasoline blended with ethanol climbed 2.6 percent to a record 5.4 million barrels a day, the department said.

Denatured ethanol for May delivery fell 1.1 cents, or 0.5 percent, to $2.145 a gallon at 10:34 a.m. New York time on the Chicago Board of Trade.
