Singapore Stocks: Olam, Noble, Bumitama, IEV Holdings

April 16 (Bloomberg) -- Singapore’s Straits Times Index rose 0.1 percent to 2,992.12 at the close in Singapore. An equal number of stocks rose as fell on the 30-member gauge.

The following were among the most active shares in the market. Stock symbols are in parentheses after company names.

Commodity suppliers: The Thomson Reuters/Jefferies CRB Index, which tracks 19 commodities ranging from copper to corn, fell 0.9 percent on April 13, snapping a two-day gain. Noble Group Ltd. (NOBL SP), Asia’s biggest listed commodities trader, lost 0.8 percent to S$1.30. Olam International Ltd. (OLAM SP), a Singapore-based supplier of agricultural commodities, slid 0.4 percent to S$2.31.

CPH Ltd. (CPH SP), a maker of printed circuit boards, plunged 7.7 percent to 1.2 Singapore cents, after posting a net loss for the year ended March 2012.

Memtech International Ltd. (MTEC SP), a supplier of rubber and plastic keypads used in mobile phones and automobiles, sank 12 percent to 8.8 Singapore cents, after posting a loss for the quarter ended March 2012 on lower demand for mobile phone keypads.
