April 13 (Bloomberg) -- The following companies had unusual price changes in Argentine trading. Stock symbols are in parentheses and share prices are as of the close in Buenos Aires.
The Merval Index fell 2.4 percent to 2,502.08.
YPF SA (YPFD AF) dropped 3.3 percent to 118.9 pesos. Argentina’s largest oil company is falling after Spain warned that Argentine President Cristina Fernandez de Kirchner’s steps to nationalize the company may rupture relations between the two countries.
Tenaris SA (TS AF) tumbled 3.3 percent to 95.2 pesos. The world’s largest producer of seamless steel tubes used in the oil industry fell after China’s economic growth slowed last quarter more than forecast.
Sociedad Comercial del Plata SA (COME AR) fell 5.9 percent to 0.72 peso. The bankrupt holding company failed to get a quorum of shareholders to agree to attend an April 18 meeting, according to a statement filed with the stock exchange. The gathering was rescheduled for April 27.
