April 12 (Bloomberg) -- The following companies had unusual price changes in Peru trading. Stock symbols are in parentheses and share prices are as of the close.
The Lima General Index rose for the first time this week, gaining 0.9 percent to 23,471.36. The MSCI All Peru Capped Index climbed 1.3 percent to 2,996.23.
Southern Copper Corp. (SCCO PE), Peru’s biggest copper producer, jumped 5.5 percent to $31.65 after copper advanced the most in a week in New York, said Javier Frisancho, a trader at Lima-based brokerage Kallpa Securities SAB.
Rio Alto Mining Ltd. (RIO PE), a Canadian gold miner, gained 3.4 percent to $4.50 after gold climbed to a one-week high in New York.
Cia. de Minas Buenaventura SAA (BVN PE), the country’s biggest precious-metals miner, rose 2.4 percent to $42.
Minera IRL Ltd. (MIRL PE), a U.K. gold producer with a mine in Peru, gained 1.9 percent to $1.06.
Sociedad Minera El Brocal SAA (BROCALC1 PE), a zinc and copper producer, rose 2 percent to 52 soles after zinc climbed for a second day in London.
