Colombian Stocks: Empresa de Energia, Cementos Argos Were Active

April 12 (Bloomberg) -- The following companies had unusual price changes in Bogota trading. Stock symbols are in parentheses, and prices are as of 3 p.m. local time.

The IGBC Index was little changed at 15,114.98 while the Colcap Index was little changed at 1,756.27.

Empresa de Energia de Bogota SA (EEB CB), Colombia’s second-biggest electricity distributor, climbed 2 percent to 1,000 pesos. EEB, as the company is known, said in a regulatory filing yesterday that it bid for power projects worth $736 million offered by Chile’s Energy Ministry.

Cementos Argos SA (CEMARGOS CB), the country’s biggest cement maker, rose 2 percent to 11,180 pesos. The Medellin-based company yesterday sold 300 billion pesos ($169 million) worth of bonds linked to interbank rates. Investor demand for the securities was almost four times the amount offered.
